February is Black History Month - a month that sparks an inclusive conversation inside and outside the HATCH Pitch organization. This year we’re shining a spotlight on Black Female Founders who validate HATCH Pitch’s motto - tech startups that make life better. In no particular order….

Melissa Hanna

Melissa Hanna JD/MBA  is the co-Founder and CEO of Mahmee: a care management platform specializing in prenatal and postpartum care. Mahmee is tackling the healthcare industry’s fragmented maternal care system comprised of hospitals, insurers, health systems and private practices. Ultimately designed to deliver personalized, ongoing education and live support to new families, reducing hospital readmissions and increasing breastfeeding rates.

Temiloluwa Adeniyi

Temiloluwa Adeniyi is a biomedical engineer, Founder and CEO of Nopneu. After learning that most infant mortality situations are caused by pneumonia, Adeniyi set forth to develop a low-cost diagnostic test for pneumonia in infants. Nopneu is also tackling environmental responsibility by making their product biodegradable.

Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins

Phaedra Ellis- Lamkins is the co-Founder and CEO of Promise: a legal software platform intended to provide alternatives to pre-trial incarceration. Promise does this by extending the capabilities of community supervision, improving long-term outcomes for individuals and communities. It’s cost effective and a more humane alternative that does a whole lot of good.

Roshawnna Novellus

Roshawnna Novellus is the Founder and CEO of EnrichHer. EnrichHer is a financial technology platform with the regulatory approval to help women secure funding to grow their ventures. It’s open to all founders and funders who support women-led ventures. The platform goes above and beyond by creating an international community to enact social good.

Jessie Woolley-Wilson

Jessie Woolley-Wilson is the President and CEO of Dreambox Learning: an online software provider that focuses on K-8 math education. The platform is designed to adapt to the diverse learning styles of students with different math curriculums to create a learning tool that adjusts and tailors the teaching as the student learns.
